UW-Madison SAE Teams Receive New Track Support Cart
Madison, WI – October 23, 2019: In a bid to support college-level motorsport programs sanctioned by SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers), CTech is in the process of developing an extensive partnership program that will include product discounts and giveaways exclusively available for sanctioned SAE teams in the United States.
To accomplish this, CTech spent time with local SAE teams in Wisconsin learning more about what they do, how they work, and what could be done from an organizational perspective to help them advance their program. “We were very impressed with the dedication and ingenuity displayed by these students. There’s a reason we call them the future stars of motorsport!” Said CTech Vice President Dean Lee.
“As a company founded on innovation, we weren’t satisfied by merely cutting a donation check for these programs. We wanted to provide the teams with some long-term value, so we did what we do best and developed a multi-purpose ‘ Track Support Cart’ to provide a mobile tool/equipment storage and worktop platform that teams can use on-location at events as well as in the shop.”
The University of Wisconsin-Madison SAE program was the first to receive one of these specially configured Track Support Carts based on CTech’s incredibly popular Worktop Cart chassis, which are already hard at work in paddocks/pits across many racing disciplines.

Before receiving this professionally-outfitted Track Support Cart, the SAE teams at UW-Madison were sharing a home-built mobile tool cart. It was bulky, short on space, and challenging to transport. This new cart will provide:
- Increased accessible tool and equipment storage.
- A 360-degree work surface.
- A removable tire rack.
- A race day canopy.
- Expanded branding opportunities.
