CTech Named Presenting Sponsor Of World Doorslammer Nationals
Making headlines across the drag racing industry, CTech Mfg. was recently announced as the presenting sponsor for this year’s Drag Illustrated ‘ World Doorslammer Nationals’ to be held March 6-8 at Orlando Speed World Dragway. Organized, in part, to celebrate the 50 years of Pro Stock racing, Elite Motorsports Team Owner Richard Freeman announced a $50,000 purse going to the winners of each class earlier in the month. Since then, additional sponsors have come on board; including JEGS, which has boosted the total Pro Stock/Pro Mod class purse to a shocking $300,000. Needless to say, with that kind of money on the line, event organizers are anticipating a massive turnout for the race, and an incredible kickoff to the 18-race Pro Stock NHRA schedule.
“We’re excited about it because we’re throwing our hat in the ring to be a title sponsor in drag racing. We’ve done it in NASCAR, but never in drag racing. We saw what Wes (Buck, Drag Illustrated Founder and Editorial Director) and Richard (Freeman, Elite Motorsports team owner) had in mind and it just seemed like a great opportunity for our company.” -Dean Lee; CTech Mfg. Vice President
CTech was born in the drag racing industry over 25 years ago, with company Founder and Current President; Jim Greenheck, behind the wheel of his Competition Eliminator Chevy Camaro in NHRA Division 5. As a result, CTech has a strong history of putting racers first. Whether they’re building a new pit cart or helping organize a team’s shop with new cabinets, this event is just another incredible opportunity for CTech to show some support to the racers who keep the industry alive!
