NTEA Work Truck Show 2020 Recap

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – MARCH 19, 2020: As The Association For The Work Truck Industry celebrated 20 years of North America’s largest work truck gathering, CTech was busy unveiling an exciting new product; Van Shelving Drawers! With business partners and the press closeby, Product Line Manager Daren Cowan and Discovery Channel star Juan Ibarra held CTech’s first ever press conference from their booth in the main tradeshow to detail the exciting news.

In all, two major additions to CTech’s MotionLatch Tool Drawer product lineup were announced at the show. The first being a pre-configured Shelving Drawer option, designed to add valuable drawer storage to existing van shelving systems. CTech displayed a ‘ Narrow’ and ‘ Wide’ Shelving Drawer option installed in Knapheide Van Shelving units towards the back of their booth.

After receiving feedback from a growing number of van shelf users looking for higher-quality drawers, CTech created two pre-configured options complete with special rear notching and more flexible mounting system to adapt to a wider range of shelving systems. No matter what brand shelving system you use, CTech now has a plug-and-play drawer solution.

The second exciting addition to CTech’s MotionLatch product line is a brand new ’Full-Bank’ Locking Option, which allows the user to lock a full bank of drawers with just one locking mechanism, and one key. In the past, locks were only available for individual drawers. With the new ‘Full-Bank’ option, all it takes is one turn of a key to secure an entire drawer bank. The new locking feature is currently available for all new Cart, Cabinet, and Tool Drawer builds.

On the show’s second day of action, members of the press gathered to hear what Tool Drawer Product Line Manager Daren Cowan and Discovery Channel Gold Rush Star Juan Ibarra had to say. Since last year’s show, CTech’s Tool Drawer manufacturing lead times had reached an industry-leading 10 business days. This was accomplished thanks to their continuing re-investment in automation and innovation, as well as a healthy expansion completed in early 2019. No other manufacturer can deliver the quality, service, customization, and speed that CTech can deliver! Topics covered also included our innovative MotionLatch handle, which others strive to imitate, but have never been able to duplicate. Finally, our new locking feature was demonstrated to the press, which represents an additional level of storage security not yet seen in competitor products.
